It's Never Too Early! Book ahead for the 2002 National SCRABBLE® Championship

Hasbro and the National SCRABBLE® Association have arranged in advance for a few hotel deals for contestants participating in the 2002 National SCRABBLE® Championship at the San Diego Concourse. Each deal is on a first come, first serve basis, varies and contains individual amenities. Please note: Taxes and special hotel charges are not noted. Contestants are responsible for their own arrangements and financial commitments to the hotels.

Should players wish to not take advantage of these special rates, The Concourse's convenient location is close to nearly 3,000 hotel rooms all within walking distance and varying in cost and availability.

The Bristol Hotel is 3 miles from the San Diego airport and one block from The San Diego Concourse. Rooms are wired for Internet access and voice mail and have coffee maker, hair dryers etc. There is Concierge service, valet parking ($12 overnight) and laundry valet. The cut-off for this special deal is on a first-option basis until June 5th, 2002.

HOTEL BLOCK is 75 rooms.
The per-night room rate shown is available August 17th though the 23rd and comes with a complimentary continental breakfast in their restaurant.

The San Diego Marriott Suites is 3.7 miles from the San Diego airport and 5 blocks from the San Diego Concourse. The all-suite hotel has a fitness center, pool, Jacuzzi, in-room coffee maker and data-ports. The cut-off for this special deal is on a first-option basis until July 27th, 2002, 5:00 pm San Diego time.

HOTEL BLOCK is 100 rooms.
The per-night room rate shown is available August 17th though the 21st.

PLEASE NOTE: Effective March 31, The Marriott Suites will change ownership/management and from that day on be a Sheraton Hotel. All previously made reservations will be honored, but will not show past this date. We encourage you to call the hotel directly at 619-696-9800 to reconfirm or change your accommodations. You may also make alternate arrangements through their 800-228-9290 number. Marriott Rewards certificates will be honored but no points or miles can be awarded for stays.

Mere steps from the Gaslamp Quarter National Historic District, the hotel has complimentary airport shuttle and use of fitness facilities. Rooms have coffee makers, mini bars, hair dryers etc. The cut-off for this special deal is on a first-option basis until July 12, 2002.

HOTEL BLOCK is 125 rooms.
The per-night room rate shown is available August 17th though the 22nd.
